There can be a config file, a set of environment variables or both.

(from [1470fee35a0c7eac66babcd00dc6e516fddc0a28]) conf: run-time LRC configuration
Use an environment variable to pass configuration options to LRC.
Options string is of the form "key0[=value0]:key1[=value1]...". Default
configuration variable name is LRC_CONFIG. Currently recognized options
are:
* no-crash: disable non-accounting handlers, * logdir: specify the location of LRC logs output.[#5 state:committed]
